My name is Jeff Ignall and I am making a career change to teaching driven by a desire to help the social and academic development of children. I graduated from Hunter College on June 2, 2011 with a Masters of Science in Childhood Education. I have created this site in order to introduce myself to the educational community as I am looking for a teaching position for the 2011/2012 school year.
During my studies at Hunter College, I discovered my passion for Social Studies and I took additional coursework so that I could also be certified in this subject. Thus, I will have two initial certificates for the 2011/2012 school year:
• New York State Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
• New York State Social Studies (Grades 7-12)
